Two and a Half Men premiered its ninth season this fall. Ashton Kutcher stole the show when he stepped out as Walden Schmidt, a wacky billionaire looking for the meaning of life after his wife, Bridget (Judy Greer), ended their marriage. Due to Charlie Sheen’s anger management problems, he was fired and Ashton Kutcher became his successor.
The Two and a Half Men producers wanted to be clear that Kutcher was not replacing Charlie Sheen’s character, Charlie Harper. Instead, halfway through the show, the producers killed off Sheen’s character and introduced Walden Schmidt (Kutcher). Schmidt entered the storyline by buying the late Charlie Harper’s beach front house, which Harper had shared with his brother, Alan, and nephew, Jake. Fortunately, Walden let Alan and Jake stay at the house after Alan complained that he had no where else to go. Kutcher brings his hilarious personality to the show, reminding people of his That 70s Show character, Michael Kelso. Over 28 million people tuned in to watch his big debut on the hit CBS show.
