For over a year, British rock band Coldplay has been touring around the world supporting their fifth album, Mylo Xyloto. The band performed nearly 92 shows across the globe, singing their hit songs such as Yellow, Paradise, and Fix You. Each concert was filmed to be put into Coldplay Live 2012, a documentary and a concert movie about the band.
Coldplay Live 2012 premiered in select theaters around the world on November 13th. The film consists of fifteen songs performed by the band in different parts of the tour, and small clips of behind the scenes footage of band members Chris Martin, Guy Berryman, Will Champion, and Jonny Buckland. The film also emphasizes the importance of Coldplay manager Phil Harvey who is referred to as the fifth member of Coldplay.
Kristen Knaide, a sophomore at Padua Academy, was among the audience who saw a special showing of Coldplay Live 2012 at Theater N in the Nemours Building. “The movie was really cool and filmed in a neat way,” Kristen said, “I thought it was cool how Coldplay played a few songs from different concerts and then talked a little bit about the tour.”
Coldplay Live 2012 is now available on Blu Ray and DVD.
