On Sunday, May 10, Radio 104.5 will celebrate its eighth birthday by hosting a concert at the Susquehanna Bank Center in Camden, New Jersey. Not all of the acts have been announced yet, but those names will be released closer to the date. However, the headliners include Of Monsters and Men, Death Cab for Cutie, Hozier, Passion Pit, Walk the Moon, Awolnation, and Vance Joy. Previous headliners for the birthday show were Bastille (2014) and Paramore (2013).

Tickets for this year’s show have already sold out. Among the Padua community, students have been vying for tickets for months. Sara Mayberry (‘18) was one of the lucky people who were able to nab good seats. She says that getting the tickets was very stressful and she “was very concentrated on getting good seats [and that] the whole process took a lot of patience.” However, the beginning of the show will be general admission. Therefore, those who get to the venue first will have the best seats. Unfortunately, at the intermission, those who do not have pit seats will have to go to their assigned seat for the remainder of the concert.

For those who did not get tickets, do not lose hope yet! There are still many opportunities to win tickets both on air and online Radio 104.5. To win tickets, listen to Radio 104.5 and if a song by one of the acts is played, then text in for a chance to win. Although these winning tickets may not exactly be the best seats, it would still be a great concert to attend.
