A Night at the Queen

Do you enjoy amazing, live music? Well, then you would have loved a Night at the Queen! This past Sunday, March 6th, a showcase was held in the City of Wilmington. Padua, Ursuline, and Salesianum students all had the opportunity to show their talents.

     World Cafe Live was built on the foundation that they would dedicate their time to showcasing live music that would attract aspiring musicians. . This Sunday, the Queen held a showcase for Padua, Ursuline, and Salesianum. Musical artists of every style and genre played. The doors opened at 5 o’clock, and the show began at 6. With over a dozen solo artists and bands, the show was amazing. The young musicians put on a great show that left the crowd cheering for more! Musicians played styles such as rock, pop, and even Opera! The show included styles for everyone! Salesianum junior, Stephen Waegle, and his band played along with his band. After the show he said, “It was an amazing experience, and I am really glad I got the chance to be in the show!” Padua students, such as Margarette Beane, also sang in the show. Songs ranging from Brighter than the Sun to Other Side were played. Zoe Wilson, a Padua junior who attended the show, said, “I’m glad I came. It was a great show and I really enjoyed the diversity of the music!”

     The World Cafe Live hosts a number of events which cater to all musicians. The entire venue was packed full of eager fans ready to listen to the exquisite music. The Queen also offered food and beverages to the fans. For all music fans, the Night at the Queen would have been a perfect opportunity for you to hear great music and support Salesianum, Padua, and Ursuline!
