Christmas Music

“The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear,” a famous quote by Buddy the Elf from the movie Elf, explains how the Christmas music around this time of year is a perfect way to get into the Christmas spirit. Christmas songs are a signal to the start of the exciting season. However, there many opinions surround Christmas music; some people love the seasonal music, but others find the songs aggravating and repetitive. Ashley Macha (‘16) is a huge fan of Christmas songs and listens to the music everyday while driving. “I love listening to Christmas music on the radio when I’m in the car! It puts me in the best mood and makes it feel like the Christmas season,” she explains. Ashley’s favorite Christmas song is “All I Want for Christmas is You” by Mariah Carey. This song was also named the number one most popular Christmas song by Billboard.

However, to some people, Christmas music is very bothersome and over played. “I like it at first but after a while it’s overplayed and gets annoying,” says Olivia Craig (‘17). Olivia’s opinion accurately describes how most people feel about the seasonal music. All in all, we can always expect to hear the Christmas music every Christmas holiday season.
