Coldplay’s New Album: A Head Full of Dreams

British rock band Coldplay, which was formed in 1996, consists of four musicians. The members include lead vocalist Chris Martin, lead guitarist Jonny Buckland, Guy Berryman, and Will Companion. They released their new album “A Head Full of Dreams” on December 4th, 2015. This album is the 7th album they have recorded and it was produced by Parlophone and Atlantic Records. It has a markedly different style and sound from it’s previous albums. The music is more towards the Pop music and Pop rock genres.

On the album, there are 11 songs. The songs are “A Head Full of Dreams,” “Birds,” “Hymn for the Weekend,” “Everglow,” “Adventure of a Lifetime,” “Fun,” “Kaleidoscope,” “Army of One,” “Amazing Day,” “Color Spectrum,” and lastly “Up&Up.” The most popular songs out right now are “Adventure of a Lifetime” and “Hymn for the Weekend.” Both of these songs have a music video uploaded on YouTube by Coldplay on their YouTube account called “Coldplay Official.” These videos both have well over 50 million views and have gotten very positive feedback from all listeners.

Coldplay is launching “A Head Full of Dreams Tour” and they are coming to Philadelphia on August 6th this summer. Coldplay also performed at the halftime show at Super Bowl this year. They sang some of their popular songs from older albums, but the third song they sang was from this new album. They sang their most popular song right now, “Adventure of a Lifetime.” Coldplay says, “We hope to continue to make music, produce, and perform for our caring fans as well as welcoming new ones and we can’t wait for what’s in store for us.”

“Adventure of a Lifetime” is to be a very upbeat, catchy song that just puts everyone in a good mood. Spotify, iTunes, as well as YouTube, all show more than a 4.5 star rating on this song. This song has the most downloads on iTunes and plays on Spotify for their new album. Hope you girls at Padua find time to listen to it and really reflect on all the hard work they put in to make it as great as they could because it’s a really good album.
