At Padua Academy, many rigorous courses are apart of the school’s curriculum, including a new class this year. Game design was debuted this year in our technology department, and our curriculum guide describes it as “Learning how to make 2D games from start to finish using the Professional Edition of Unity’s gaming software.” Senior Cate Z. tells us “This class teaches me about how to actually create a video game using the program Unity…  I really like the class.It’s doesn’t have a lot of students, so we get individual attention while also solving problems together”. However, in order to gain enrollment in the class, no game experience is required, but the prerequisite is that a student has have to have taken either Programming I or Python.
