Padua Academy welcomes our new Infirmary Nurse, Mrs. Sarah Bridge. She was born and raised in Delaware where she is now happily married and the proud parent of two children; a son who is a sophomore at our brother school, Salesianum, and a daughter who is in the seventh grade. It is clear that Mrs. Bridge has the work ethic to do an efficient job as Padua’s nurse.
She got her first job at just fourteen cleaning apartment complexes. Eventually, she decided nursing was the career path for her. To become a nurse, she received her Bachelor’s Degree from Wilmington University and went on to earn a Masters Degree in nursing from Widener University. She put her degrees to good use and was a family nurse practitioner at the University of Delaware. Hoping to continue her work in nursing, Mrs. Bridge applied to work at Padua Academy. She chose our high school out of all others because she is an alumnus who wanted to return to her alma mater and the beloved sisterhood that can only be found here.
As an alum, being at Padua brings back memories from high school. Like many of us Padua girls, Mrs. Bridge loves movies, especially movies with happy endings. Her most recent favorite is The Princess Diaries. She is content with where her life has come and excited to be back at Padua, but she also has a few ambitions remaining on her bucket list. These include traveling to see The Grand Canyon and going to a Dallas Cowboys football game. Although many of us do not approve of that last ambition, we can put that aside and assure you that Mrs. Bridge is someone you would want to meet. She loves her job and is dedicated to helping us girls, her Padua sisters. She is fun and easy to talk to, so do not be shy to stop by for a quick visit!
