Jamie G. is a freshman at Padua Academy. She’s like every teenage girl who wants to have a lot of fun and enjoy high school while it lasts. However, she also has a lot of interesting things about her that a majority of the student body does not know. She lives in Mullica Hill, New Jersey and her dad is the head basketball coach of La Salle University. She also has many unusual interests.
Jamie grew up in Maine with her family. She said, “I loved going outside. My sister and I loved to go fishing and catch frogs.” She was your typical child. She was often very stubborn and funny. She loved to dance with her sister. “If anybody made me mad, I would tell them they were stupid. I was really weird as a kid,” Jamie said. Now Jamie lives in New Jersey, yet attends a school in Delaware. She said, “I enjoy Padua. Religion has become a bigger part of my life now. Even though I live in New Jersey, I still live close to the school.” Jamie’s dad is John Giannini, head basketball coach of La Salle University. Jamie said, “It’s weird knowing that my dad is the head basketball coach and I don’t see him much. It can be stressful but he has taught me to work hard and handle stress.”
Some of Jamie’s interests are video games, comic books, Doctor Who, and Pokémon. Her favorite characters in comic books are Deadpool, Spiderman, and Ms. Marvel. “In my freetime I like to play Pokémon Version Blue on my GameBoy. My starter Pokémon is Bulbasaur,” Jamie said. Jamie said her dream job is either an environmental physicist or an astrophysicist. Jamie said that some cool things about herself were that she has a life-size Tardis cutout in her basement and Bill Nye the Science Guy is her role model. “I also have a half-hairless, ginger cat named Sherlock. He is the light of my life,” said Jamie.
