Jordan M: Living Life to the Fullest

On May 19, 1999 Jordan M. was born in South Korea. She is now currently a Freshman at Padua Academy. Before attending Padua, she went to Immaculate Conception. Jordan enjoys playing soccer, hanging out with friends, and listening to music in her free time. She plans to try out for the Padua soccer team in March. She has high hopes of making the soccer team and making many new friends in the process. In the future, Jordan would like to visit Italy and France some things she would like to do are to. visit famous landmarks and explore the cities. Also in the future, Jordan has plans of becoming a doctor. The idea of helping, caring, and curing others is very appealing to her. When she was accepted into into Padua, Jordan felt her greatest personal satisfaction. She felt that she gave it her best on the entrance exam, and when she received word that she was accepted she was ecstatic and elated. Jordan only likes to read books that she gets to choose. Some of her favorite books are written by Nicholas Sparks. She likes reading books because she finds them captivating and compelling.

For the first three months of Jordan’s life she lived in South Korea. Jordan remembers South Korea as being vibrant and lively. Her favorite memory of living in South Korea was when Jordan was adopted. Her foster mom showed her around South Korea. She was not great at speaking Korean but she understood the language. After that Jordan and her family moved to America. She handled the transition well and dealt well with the language. Jordan’s first memory of America was celebrating her first birthday party, where her whole family came. Her biggest struggle from moving from South Korea to America was not knowing who her parents are. Overall she was glad she did because she would not have the wonderful life she has now. She is thankful for her family, friends, and all the important figures in her life.
