Michelle K: Life at Padua

Michelle Krzywicki did not always know if she wanted to go to Padua. When she was deciding which high school she wanted to go to, Saint Mark’s was also an option. She shadowed at both Padua and Saint Mark’s, but really enjoyed her day at Padua. She loved the atmosphere and she thought that the curriculum was excellent while shadowing at Saint Mark’s, she did not enjoy her day. Michelle has felt that her academic transition into Padua was very hard. “It was like a slap in the face,” she said, but socially it was very easy for her. She made friends very quickly because of her bubbly, friendly personality.

There are not many things Michelle misses about her old school but some of the few things she does miss are the smallness, having guys in her classes, and all of her old friends. She still stays in touch with all of her friends from her grade school. “I used to never study at my old school. That had to change when I came to Padua.” Michelle has always played sports such as year round gymnastics, swimming, and softball. She has also played volleyball every year since third grade and club every year since sixth grade. Out of all of the sports, Michelle’s favorite is volleyball. “Volleyball is a passion of mine.” As a freshman, she made it on Padua’s volleyball team and says that some of her closest friends were on the team with her. Next year, Michelle wants to take AP Psychology and Science Fiction Literature for her electives.
