Having Trouble Getting Ideas For Lent?

Some people have struggled regarding what to do for Lent, and some tried giving up something that didn’t go as planned. Here are 10 ideas to inspire you during the Lenten season.

Write a letter everyday to someone you are thankful for and describe how they touched your life ~ This can help you count how many people you know and love.

Give up checking your phone throughout the day— for texts, snapchats, email, and any other social media ~ This may encourage you to pay more attention to the people around you.

Give up the snooze button on your alarm clock ~ Forcing yourself to get up every day at the right time may be a good thing and will give you a few extra minutes to get ready too. Gabby A. says, “Forcing myself to get up without hitting snooze is the hardest thing I have ever done.”

Do 10 minutes of meditation a day ~ Meditation is a way to clear your mind and get back to being focused and alert, possibly helping with school.

List 5 things you’re grateful for every day ~ To help you realize what your priorities are.

Park at the very back of the parking lot ~ Take some extra steps for your health.

Give away 10 shirts, 2 pairs of pants, and a pair of shoes ~ Because there are always other people who need them.

Leave a post-it with a positive message on it wherever you go ~ You can brighten someone’s day, not to mention yours too.

Every day take a picture of something or someone you’re grateful for ~ You’ll be surprised at the amount of things you are thankful for.

Cut out cursing ~ If cursing is a problem for you, this may be a hard one.
