After Padua’s Softball team placed second last year in the state tournament, the girls came back this year ready to play. The Varsity softball team is coached by Peter Boyer and assisted by Gretchen Loose. The team has played twelve games so far and out of these twelve, the team has won nine games. Captain Nikki S. has high expectations this year and says, ” I think that our team is strong and that we’ll do a great job this year.”

Theresa Miller is the head coach of the Junior Varsity team, assisted by Tara Saladyga. The Junior Varsity team has played nine games and out of those nine, they have won seven games. Cameron M. is playing on Padua’s softball team during her first year and says, “I think our JV team is pretty strong. We’ve got an even split of sophomores and freshman and we work well together.” Both teams have high expectations for this season and the rest of the Padua family is ready to see a Softball State Title!
