San Francisco Giant Lead the Way to Victory at the World Series

The San Francisco Giant won the 2014 MLB World Series during game 7 on Wednesday, October 29th beating the Kansas City Royals 3-2. This marked the 4th win of the Giants in the 7 game world series, making them MLB champions. The game attracted 52 million viewers, making it the 2nd most watched game in history.

A big part of the win goes to the Giants relief pitcher, Madison Bumgarner who held off the royals from scoring any runs in the bottom of the fifth inning, only allowing 2 hits off of him. This is especially impressive, as in the game the night before, the Royals scored an impressive 10 runs. Bumgarner was then names the World Series MVP for 2014.

β€œIt was a really impressive game, and very climactic because each team had won 3 games already,” says Jessica S.(β€˜15) about the games. Regardless of their previous games, the Giants should be congratulated for their win.
