On December 13, 2011, all of the Sophomores came together to spend the entire day celebrating the union and spirit of the Class of 2014. Throughout the day, the Sophomores participated in many fun games and activities planned by the four class officers, along with the Sophomore class moderators. The girls walked into school Tuesday morning dressed in their black long sleeve shirts with three words printed on their backs – “fearless, smart, fabulous.”
The day consisted of a doughnut and hot chocolate breakfast, stations full of activities, a pizza and cookie lunch, and a screening of the movie “Elf” in Roberto Hall. All decked out in blue and black, the girls painted their nails, decorated headbands, and played board games in the cafeteria followed by cooperative games in the gym. Some girls say the highlight of their day was being taught the choreographed dance by Padua’s own dance instructors, Tori and Adrianne. This dance was taught in one of the smaller stations, and right before lunch, was performed as a class and video taped.
After a much enjoyed pizza lunch, the girls decorated star shaped cookies with blue icing and little candies. Then, the students proceeded to Roberto Hall and relaxed for the afternoon by watching a class favorite film. Many students were quoting the movie and laughing together. At 2:35, the Sophomores parted ways, but the spirit that was built up that day will last.
