In anticipation for Halloween, Padua students are deciding what they’re going to dress up as this year. With school festivities such as the costume contest during flex, the stakes are going to be high here at Padua on the 30th. Students will meet in the gym during flex, and compete for best costume. Everyone is on the search for a creative costume that represents their own unique personality and style. Listed on Time Magazine’s website were the top ten most searched Halloween costumes of 2015:

  1. Harley Quinn
  2. Star Wars
  3. Superhero
  4. Pirate
  5. Batman
  6. Minnie Mouse
  7. Witch
  8. Minions
  9. Joker
  10. Wonder Woman

Lyndsay Ryan, an eleventh grade student at Padua is being a stylish witch, “I haven’t dressed up for Halloween since 8th grade, so I’m trying to get back into the spirit this year. I thought being a witch would be a cute costume and honestly I find them to be super cool.” While Lyndsay is dressing as number seven on the list, Maddie Perez, also an eleventh grader, takes a more creative route, “This year I’m dressing up as Bruno Mars. I know, this seems kind of weird but I have wanted to be Bruno for years.”

After asking students about their costumes, it really showed how much the girls enjoy dressing up as something they love! No matter how different or standard your costume is, everyone is excited here at Padua for all of the Halloween activities to come. Good luck on finding your costume!
