What A Prom

What+A+Prom

On Friday, May 6, Padua Seniors spent their day off getting ready for their Senior Prom. Located inside the Chase Center on the Riverfront, the diamond-themed ballroom the seniors used for prom looked absolutely spectacular. The centerpieces were small vases with fake diamonds and candles in them.  The seniors all arrived to the venue around 7PM where they were greeted by a line of administrators and teachers, including Mrs. Mann, Mrs. Manelski, and Dr. McClory.  As soon as the girls walked in, Mr. Gabrick came up and took a picture of the girls.

Dinner began at 8PM as the seniors lined up along the buffet tables to serve themselves with food like mac and cheese, chicken and/or beef. Dessert, as provided by the Chase Center, included cake and chocolate pastries. By 8:30PM, seniors were already off their chairs and dancing to the music as played by the DJ.

Before leaving the prom, the Padua seniors were given a prom gift, a cup that when cold turns pink. Senior Kara Eckton described her experience of Padua Senior Prom, “The venue was decorated so beautifully and everyone looked so amazing in their dresses.  It was an overall great time!”

The after prom was located at the Police Athletic League of Delaware.  The gym was boardwalk themed with blow up rides.  Pictures of the seniors as babies hung from the ceiling.  As the girls left, they received a bag with a book of memories which was made by the parents and an Alex and Ani “Make Your Mark” bracelet.
