Kimberly D., aka Kimmy, is on her way to change the future of fashion designing. As a freshman at Padua Academy, Kimmy already has ideas on how she can achieve her dream of having an art career. This multi-talented girl is ready to work hard to achieve her dream.

Kimmy’s favorite thing to do is draw. She has been very creative and artistic ever since she can remember. This is why she wants to have a career involving art. She would love to become a fashion designer or an interior decorator one day.

Kimmy explains that there are many reasons for her desire to become a fashion designer. She expressed, “I want to make a career out of something I love.” She does not want a job where she is stuck doing repetitive work until she retires. Most of all, Kimmy says, “I want to be doing something creative, where I’m making and designing things everyday.” Being interested in her work will make her happy, and being a fashion designer will accomplish that.

Kimmy has started to make a plan for how she can become a fashion designer one day. This year, she took Introduction to Textiles to help increase her knowledge about designing. She also took an art class to help her improve her artistic abilities. She enjoyed both classes a lot and hopes to keep taking art classes for the rest of her time at Padua.

When Kimmy is not spending her time drawing, there are a few other activities she enjoys doing. She loves to sing and play video games on her Wii, where she explores nintendo cheats to make the games a lot more interesting. She has done service at food banks and thrift stores. She says, “I had a great experience at both places.” She loves to go on Disney Cruises, which she and her family do every year; “It’s like my home away from home.” Kimmy also enjoys science. Last year, she won her school’s science fair. It was her favorite memory from her old school, Our Lady of Fatima.

Kimmy David has many talents and passions. Her most important one is her dream of becoming a fashion designer/having a career in the art field. She is on her way to pursuing this career, and is definitely on the right track.
