On March 30th, 2014, Mrs. Shaw-Giaquinto and Mrs. Buchanan hosted a mother daughter brunch in the Padua Cafe. Before the students and their guests ate, Mrs. Mann led prayer, asking to watch over the students and their families. As tables were called to get breakfast, those waiting could use the opportunity to take a family picture in the television production studio. Many took part in the raffle door prize, but freshman Taylor R. won the prize, which was a movie basket.

During the brunch, there was a “this or that” game set up on the tables with quotes and two different people. The player had to choose the one person who said it.  The quotes came from people such as Disney Princesses, Confucius, Jane Austen, and Spongebob. Daughters  were also able to write letters in cards addressed to their mom, grandmother, or sister. As the brunch came to an end, numerous took home a magnet keepsake.Even though it was required them to take time out of their busy lives, the brunch was an amazing opportunity for mothers and daughters to bond.
