Supporting the PQF

Supporting+the+PQF

On April 26, many Padua students supported the Pearce Quesenberry Foundation by walking the 4 Miles of Hope. This year marked the foundation’s sixth anniversary. The weather turned out beautifully and there was a great turnout of supporters, including students and teachers. It was Pearce’s first 4 Miles of Hope that she was in remission for, which made this year very special and unforgettable for her.

Each year the event has grown and brought even more success. Pearce says, “I am very proud of the success the walk has brought. This event raises enough money to run our foundation and accomplish our goals of giving family support, giving money to research and raising awareness for the whole year.” Accomplishing the walk with the help of many volunteers, Pearce is extremely thankful to have the opportunity to raise money not only for the PQF, but also for other foundations.

With a lot of hard work and efforts from Pearce, her family, her Padua sisters, her friends, and her supporters, she is very proud of the way this event has grown. She says, “I never expected that the 4 Miles of Hope would become such a huge success. I originally hope to raise a couple thousand dollars and the event has blown that out of the water!”
