Padua Christmas

Padua+Christmas

Walking through the halls of Padua during the Christmas season is an explosion of cheer and excitement. Everyone is decked out in their best Santa hats and favorite ugly Christmas sweaters. It’s a fun way to get ready for Christmas and really get into the holiday spirit.

The start to season is marked by the tree trim assembly. Students and staff all dress up in festive colors and each homeroom gets to hang a Christmas movie-themed ornament on the tree. The freshmen had Elf, the sophomores were The Polar Express, juniors had Frosty the Snowman and the seniors were Rudolph. Everyone had a great time and the tree looks great!

This week, Padua began their holiday themed add ons and dress down days. Wednesday is North Pole add ons, Thursday is ugly sweater add ons, Friday is winter wonderland dress down and Monday is pajama day. With winter break right around the corner, everyone is getting excited for the holidays. Franky Sedlacek (‘18) says “I love the Christmas spirit feeling all around the school. Everyone is really festive and excited for the holidays.”

Lastly, the annual Christmas prayer service is on Monday. The whole school gathers together in the cafeteria to close the school year for 2014 and get ready for the holidays. Padua is such a festive place to be during the holidays and students and faculty alike are very excited for the fast approaching holiday.
