Honeygrow Review

My “Spicy Garlic” stir fry

Honeygrow is the new trendiest place to eat, especially on cycle sevens here at Padua. Recently, me and a few Padua students ventured to Honeygrow to see what all of the hype is about.

Honeygrow is on Concord Pike, in a typical shopping center. At first it was difficult to spot, but we found it and went inside. It’s very clean and modern, which I liked. When you go to order, it’s all on touch screen computers, like when you’re ordering food at Wawa. Honeygrow offers, stir fry, salads, and the “Honeybar,” which offers a selection of fruit, honey, and toppings to add into a personalized snack. I was confused at first since I had never been there and didn’t know what to order. After staring at the screen for a couple minutes, I decided on getting stir fry. Honeygrow offers the option to completely start from scratch with your meal, or to base it off a preselected item. I began with the “Spicy Garlic” stir fry. It already had noodles, chicken, peppers, broccoli, red onions, pineapples, and parsley with a red spicy sauce. I substituted the broccoli for corn and added sesame seeds instead of parsley as my garnish.

Honeygrow is like Panera, where you order your food, wait for it, and then seat yourself after you get it. After we found a table, I dug into my stir fry, which was super spicy. The amount of food you get is pretty hefty, but the price, in my opinion, isn’t worth it. A bowl of stir-fry cost me around nine dollars. I ate the majority of it, but I don’t think I would go back to Honeygrow any time soon. Overall, I give it a 3 out of 5 stars. While Honeygrow may not be for me, I know many of my classmates really enjoy it, so go try it and see how you feel!
