Opinion: “DoLittle”

The movie Dolittle recently came out in theaters, and to say the least, I loved it. This movie showed a great importance of compassion and determination with animals, not just humans.

Dolittle was directed by Stephen Gaghan and the producers were Susan Downey, Joe Roth, and Jeff Kirschenbaum. The main characters were Robert Downey Jr., Tom Holland, Emma Thompson, Rami Malek, Selena Gomez, John Cena and much more.

Dolittle is about Doctor Dolittle, a man who has been an animal doctor for many years. Once his wife dies at sea, he shuts out the world and doesn’t open the doors of his home for years until one day a girl was sent by Queen Victoria to see him. The Queen had been very sick and requested Dolittle to help her get better, as he was the only one that she thought could.

Dolittle, his “apprentice”, and animals go overseas to try and find a certain flower as it is the only thing that could bring the Queen back to her health. They go through a bunch of obstacles to try and return in time before it’s too late.

The meaning of this movie is determination and one scene really portrayed that. In this scene, Doctor Dolittle’s enemy was trying to sink their boat. Dolittle never gave up, even when it seemed impossible that they would beat his enemy. He still was trying to protect the animals, the ship, and himself so they could finish what they had started.

I think this movie has a great message and plot for not just adults, but kids too. First, it shows the meaning of friendship and that friends always stick together, and second I liked the plot and adventure throughout the movie.

It shows determination and that you should never give up, even when it seems impossible. Such as in the movie they all were passionate about something you never let it go, even when you want to. In this case with Doctor Dolittle, he has always been so compassionate about his work and even after all those years he still was, and was so determined to make something right.

For the plot, I thought it was very thrilling and like a lot of action movies, you can kind of predict what was going to happen next, but with this one, I didn’t think you could. It had a little bit of everything, adventure, emotion, and thrill. The actors were very good, including the parts where the animals talk. I thought they did a good job with making it seem real, and the animations seemed real. Overall, I thought this was a really good movie.
