At Padua, current juniors and seniors have the opportunity to be invited into the school’s National Honor Society. The requirements include an outstanding service profile and an above average grade point average. New members are inducted in early December and spend the rest of the year aiding the National Society Officers in projects such as the annual blood drive and Adopt a Family fundraiser. “Being a part of NHS is a great chance to help others and as well as working with the other juniors and seniors”, says officer Brooke S. ‘17.

In National Honor Society, students help coordinate numerous activities that bring awareness about service to students and faculty. “During the Christmas season, me and two other seniors were given the opportunity to chair the Adopt-a-Family drive, coordinating the gift tags on the bulletin board as well as the wrapping of the presents”, says Jess M. ‘17. With all current National Honor Society contributing their time and work to all activities, National Honor Society is able to continue their benevolent deeds in the Padua and Wilmington community.
