At Padua, there is always a photographer at events such as spirit assembly, masses, and even in classes. These student photographers are for the Padua yearbook, and members of the Publication Design class. The class’s main project throughout the entire year is to take photos and construct the yearbook. As a whole, the class designs the theme and layout, which is then worked on digitally. “We work on this program called Balfour”, says Caitlin O. ‘17. “It’s a great tool because it sets up the page for us so we just drop in pictures and word captions”.

When asked about the class dynamic, Caitlin says “It’s honestly one of the greatest classes. Even though we have so many deadlines, we always come in laughing and smiling”. The staff consists this year of two juniors and twelve seniors. The twelve seniors are grouped by first year students and second year students, who are also known as editors. “I am a managing editor, and my main job is photos. We have two other managing editors, one in charge of overseeing everything and one in charge of proofreading. We have three editors who are in charge of smaller sections”, says Caitlin. With all the staff members, Caitlin assures us that the yearbook is in good hands. When asked about the theme of the yearbook Caitlin smiled and said “The theme is great, you should buy one”.
