This past weekend the Padua Cheerleading team competed in the state championship competition in Dover, Delaware. The girls had practiced all year for this competition and, despite being a second year team, did very well. The team placed second overall in the competition, only a few points behind the first place team.
Captain and senior Jillian Schnatterer said, “I cannot be more proud of every girl on the team for trying their absolute best and giving their all for the last competition. They have all worked extremely hard all year, and all the hard worked payed off in the end.” The girls plan to work just as hard next year and hopefully take the top spot at States in 2014. The Padua Community is proud of the cheer team for representing Padua and doing a stand up job at their last competition of the year.
