Prior to the Christmas break, the Men of Padua hosted a father-daughter trip to New York City. Three buses, filled with 72 girls and their fathers, left for New York at 8:00 a.m. Though the bus rides were long, Mr. Cross, Mr. Fassano, and Mr. Brindle had fun activities at the ready to make the ride more enjoyable. These activities included a raffle that everyone was entered into, and some trivia games. The trivia games were a fun way to let the dads and daughters work together and win an amazing prize: tickets to the Empire State Building. The buses dropped the dads and daughters off in front of Macy’s, and everyone headed off to their various destinations in The Big Apple.
New York is filled with plenty of attractions and engaging ways to spend the day. Some sight-seeing opportunities include visiting the Empire State Building, the 9/11 Memorial, the Statue of Liberty, and Central Park. There are countless other popular places to visit as well, like Madam Tussuad’s wax museum, the Toys R Us store, the ten floor Macy’s, or, of course, Broadway.
For fashionistas who love designer clothes and stores, fifth avenue is the place to be. Fifth avenue is filled with designers, from Saks to Louis Vuitton, Prada, Gucci, and Versace. Other popular stores in New York include: the M&M store, FAO Schwarz, the American Girl Place, Tiffany & Co., and Bloomingdale’s.
The Men of Padua group of dads and daughters who visited certainly enjoyed their day in the big city.
