Black Friday Memories

The week leading up to Thanksgiving is the week of the 22nd and on Friday the 27th it’s Black Friday, which is the biggest shopping day of the year. Whether you like go to shopping or not, Black Friday is a huge day to get started on early Christmas shopping or to just get a good deal. The malls are open longer andthe prices are marked down. A lot of moms and grandmothers go together, but so do many teenage girls.

Many girls go to stores such as, Forever 21, PINK, Bath and Body Works, Nordstrom, Abercrombie and Fitch, or Victoria’s Secret. Junior Cecilia Onekalit shared, “I went to Christiana Mall and my favorite memory is when I went to Abercrombie and Fitch and I saw the cutest sweater but I couldn’t buy it and I was so upset so I went to the food court and ate away my depression in Suki Hana.”

Most girls have a job and work for their own money; so when it comes to spending it, it’s usually spent wisely, and not on Black Friday. Junior Cate Zwiercan says, “I do work for my own money and I do spend it very carefully but I don’t let that rule apply to Black Friday because you can’t miss out on the amazing deals.”

Christmas is just less than 40 days away and for those in the need of present ideas, Black Friday is a great time to get those done but it is an even better time to have fun with whoever you go with.
