Father Daughter Dinner Dance

On Friday, December 11th, girls from all grades gathered in the Cafe to dance with their fathers, grandfathers, or other father figures at Padua’s annual Father Daughter Dinner Dance.  Christmas music played when they entered through the doors as scattered conversations were held between friends and fathers, introducing and reuniting.

Before the dancing began everyone sat down for dinner. Parents volunteers called people up table by table and participated as the kitchen staff. After dinner it was time for dancing on in the middle of the room or waiting in line for the photo booth.

The photo booth was a big hit at the dance. With props such as captions, hats, feather boas, and boxing gloves, many found accessories that put a smile on their face. After posing for a few pictures, people headed over towards the “dance floor”, with a DJ playing current hits for people to dance and sing along. With a few slow songs here and there, dads had the chance to spend some quality time  with their daughters.
