The students of Padua Academy’s Youth for Life group recently paid a visit to Mom’s House. This is an organization that acts as a day care for the children of moms who are finishing high school or college. This gives the young mothers an opportunity to create a better life for themselves and their children. Right now, there are fifteen children that spend time at Mom’s House, who’s ages range from infants to pre-school students. Our Padua sisters spent the day entertaining and spending time with the children. One activity had students making decorative holiday wreaths with the kids.
The students who participated are:
- Rachel Bolton
- Brittany McNamara
- Isabel Nelson
- Taylor Talmo
- Molly Wierzbowski
“The children truly look forward to their time spent with the Padua girls,” Mrs. Lammert says about the visits. “Also, the students will tell you they have a great time every time we visit Mom’s House.” Clearly, both the students and the children have fun getting to spend time together and it is an enjoyable experience for everyone.
