Blue-Gold was back again to give students, faculty and staff the opportunity to bring home a delicious pie or baked good for Thanksgiving Day. On the last day before Thanksgiving break, Blue-Gold holds their annual pie auction. When walking into the cafeteria the overwhelming consensus of pie day is, this is my favorite day of the year. All of the Blue-Gold members either baked or bought a pie to bring into school. At lunch, the Blue-Gold members manage the tables, providing tickets to raffle on the pies. The members of Padua are able to buy tickets; for 1 ticket for 50 cents or 3 tickets for 1 dollar. The pies are displayed on tables and each pie is given a number. The intention was to put your name on the back of the ticket you purchased and drop it in the bag representing the pie you want. After both lunches were done, the Blue-Gold members picked a name randomly from the bags. After school, people scurried to the message board to see if they had won a pie. Afterwards you were able to come to the cafeteria and pick it up. All of the money collected will go to the Blue-Gold activity, for funds for future Blue-Gold events.
