Fundraising for Familes

Every year during the holiday season, members of Padua’s National Honor Society help organize the Adopt-a-Family toy drive. Children ask for toys such as Barbie dolls and footballs on a small card which Padua students can take as many as they wish to sponsor a child for Christmas. Students are asked to bring in the toys unwrapped and National Honor Society will wrap them and help them be delivered to the families. This fundraiser is a popular event in the Padua community because students enjoy being able to help younger children in need.

“This year I was really excited to be a part of the fundraiser”, says Senior Jess M. “My job was to write the toy requests on the cards for the cafe board and it made me realize that we are so fortunate to be able to have items such as cellphones and computers, when children are asking for something as simple as a basketball”, Jess says.
