Staying Motivated
This week and last, I’ve had a lot of homework and tests in school. I think these two weeks have been some of the most stressful since we switched to online school. It’s much harder to find the motivation to study and keep up with all my work, especially as it keeps piling up. I’ve also been stressed about preparing for my AP exams, which are in two weeks.
The problem with having so much homework, especially homework that doesn’t need to be submitted, is that I’m less motivated to do it. This usually leads to me rushing to do it at the last minute, making me more stressed, or even not doing it all. However, I try my best to remember that the school year is almost over and that I won’t have to deal with this for much longer.
Since I’m taking two AP exams this year, I have to put work into preparing for both. While I know studying and preparing is necessary, the motivation isn’t always there. I think the format of the exams makes them easier, especially for APUSH, as it is a DBQ. The multiple choice questions were very difficult and even though I was getting better at them, I like that the exam is only one question.
Overall, I hope I will procrastinate less these coming weeks and make it to the end of the school year. I also hope I will get good grades in my classes and that all the work I put in this year will be worth it. Junior year was my difficult year academically, so I hope my hard work will pay off. Finally, I hope I will do well on my AP exams despite the different format.
