A Day in the Life of Megan Henry

For Padua senior Megan Henry, life is anything but simple. Megan lives quite far away from school; therefore, no matter how early she leaves her house, her friends can expect her to arrive only minutes before the first period bell rings. Although days at Padua can be exhausting, Megan tries to stay positive and laugh with her friends, while doing her best in her classes. Like any other Padua senior, Megan gets a lot of homework every night.

However, the heavy workload doesn’t phase her. “I don’t have much to complain about other than trying to balance my school work and have a very fun end to my senior year with my friends,” she says. Not only does Megan have to balance her rigorous schedule and friends, but she is also a yearbook editor. This leadership role requires her to work long hours preparing and editing the yearbook for publication. Although the job is tough, Megan loves being a yearbook editor and she spends her life in room 426 with the other editors and her Publication Design teacher, Mr. Beno.

Megan’s life is very different on the weekends. She is spontaneous; so her friends can count a call from her at any time during the day asking if they want to accompany her on drive around town. Anyone can find Megan either at her favorite restaurant, El Diablo or at Nordstrom, where she interns. When she isn’t with her friends, Megan loves to spend time with her family. Since her older sister goes to University of Delaware, Megan gets a taste of the only child life, living with just her parents and her dog, Ridley. However, the two sisters are very close, so when her sister comes home to visit, the house is filled with laughter and jokes.

Megan loves her life here at Padua, no matter how stressful. She feel comfortable in this environment with her friends surrounding her. With that being said, Megan is ready to graduate and experience the college life.
