It was a surprise to few that Apple would be releasing a new Apple iPad that would be the referred to as the iPad 2012 instead of following the mold Apple has already created by giving the majority of its electronic devices a number. With the death of Steve Jobs, Founder and once CEO of Apple products, many rumors began to swirl around on when the new iPad would be released and if there was going to be a new one at all. The release of Apple’s newest device was March 7, 2012.
In all, the Apple iPad 2012 features a new, thinner and sleeker design, down nearly 20 percent in size compared to the iPad 2. It also supports full touchscreen HD display with a screen resolution of 2048 x 1536. Apart from that, the iPad 2012 has a lighter battery, reducing the weight of the tablet. However, the battery is reported to cost 20 to 30 percent more than the current iPad’s battery, but also has a longer battery life.
The iPad 2012 comes with an improved camera. Unlike the iPad 2, the new tablet come swith LED flash to support the camera. It has a 5MP camera with 1080p or 720p video recording quality of 60 frames per second.
Apple has already been granted patents on this fingerproof technology, and is working real hard to make the iPad 2012 fingerprint proof. The touch screen is coated with oleophobic materials, which will reduce the oil and fingerprints on the screen.
Apple lovers were impressed by the new iPad 2012 new features and those who have yet to upgrade are even more excited about the new iPads to come.
