On October 23, 2011, Padua Academy hosted its annual Open House. Seventh and eighth graders from a multitude of grade schools in the area came to explore their interest in Padua. Our student ambassadors gave enthusiastic tours, radiating their love of this big box of love. Stops on the tour included classrooms, where teachers waited to explain their courses curriculum, and the gym, where representatives from each of our sports teams tried to recruit future Pandas. Other less conventional stops included Shakespeare, where some students were decked out in full Shakespearean costume while other played music, and the History Day room, where several award winning History Day exhibits were up for display. Down in the cafe, tables were set up to advertise Padua’s various clubs and organization. Potential students and parents could peruse these while waiting for a tour and helping themselves to refreshments prepared by Padua’s fabulous new catering staff. Overall, the event was a rousing success, and Padua is sure to have snagged a few new Pandas.
