FIT Tuesdays 2014

The month of July was very busy for the incoming freshmen class participating in the Freshmen In Transition (FIT) Tuesdays. The new students were welcomed each week by the 2014-15 Student Council executives and Mrs. G. Anyone who walked through the doors of Padua could sense the anxiety in the air.

The first night was rather quiet as nerves were at an all-time high as the student council gave a tour of the school. The jitters subsided the following week as the class of 2018 took to the dance floor to show off their moves with the dance coaches. Despite the lack of cool air, the freshmen were all smiles with their new friends. The third Tuesday night was a hot one as the girls walked over to Fournier Field for teambuilding exercises. The night started with one big group, but soon broke off into three separate groups to get to know each other on a more personal level. The final FIT Tuesday brought together the families of the class of 2018 at Rockford Park. Mrs. Mann and various teachers were on hand to cook food and answer any questions that the students or their parents had about the upcoming year. The FIT Tuesdays are designed to lessen the worries of the transition into high school and introduce the incoming freshmen class to their new sisters for the next four years.
