La Semaine du Français
Monday, February 23 was the start of French week. During this week, Padua celebrates the French department, as well as French culture. French week consisted of French Trivia that was asked on PATV everyday. The trivia questions were creative and encouraged students in each homeroom to cooperate with each other.
During French Week, students were given the opportunity to pay a small fee to recreate a French painting while enjoying a delicious French treat, crêpes and Nutella. The painting was called “Sower at Sunset” by Vincent Van Gogh. The recreations were all beautiful and it was interesting to see all the paintings with everyone’s own personal twist. Lots of students as well as teachers participated and thought the event was really enjoyable. Tori Millsap (‘18) said “My favorite part about French week was painting the recreation of Van Gogh because it was fun to combine French painting with crêpes.”
The French Department works hard every year to make French Week something the whole school can enjoy. Next year, will hopefully be just as successful as this year.
