Milkshake Wars: Old vs New
The Padua cafeteria has recently added an new addition that has not gone unnoticed–the new milkshake machine. Before the addition was made, Curtis, the kitchen chef, was in charge of making the students milkshakes after school. The milkshake machine has a variety of flavors, some of which were not available before the machine, and is available during flex and lunch rather than just after school.
Even though the machine may have more varieties , many students still prefer Curtis to make their milkshakes. The machine’s milkshakes, in my opinion, just do not compare to the old ones. In addition, the price of the new milkshakes are almost double the amount as before, but the amount is the same. Hailea Stockburger (‘18) says, “I’ve heard the new milkshakes are a lot more fattening than the old milkshakes, and you’re paying way too much money for a milkshake. Honestly, I prefer the taste of the old milkshakes, too.” Some students have actually bought milkshakes without mixing them, they say it’s just like ice cream; others choose not to try the new milkshake at all.
