Padua Senior Prom

On Friday, May 1st, Padua Seniors left school immediately after Flex to get ready for their Senior Prom. Located inside the Chase Center on the Riverfront, the twenties-themed ballroom the seniors used for prom looked absolutely spectacular. The centerpieces were long, thin vases with clear stones inside and multiple feathers, which flourished outwards at the top of the vase. The vases were wrapped with battery-charged lights, creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The other flower vases displayed through the ballroom had a variety of beautiful flowers inside of them, as well as live goldfish swimming in the water.

The seniors all arrived to the venue around 7PM where they were greeted by a line of administrators and teachers, including Mrs. Mann, Mrs. Manelski, and Reverend Waseline. Dinner began at 8PM as the seniors lined up along the buffet tables to serve themselves Italian food. The simplistic description of the ingredients in the Italian food, as catered by the Chase Center, include bread, salad, meatballs, pasta, and chicken. Dessert, as provided by the Chase Center, included cake and chocolate pastries. By 8:30PM, seniors were already off their chairs and dancing to the music as played by DJ Joe Hummel. Before leaving the prom, the Padua seniors were given a prom gift, a dark purple Fruit Infusing Tumbler with candy inside. Senior Anna Przywara described her experience of Padua Prom as she commented, “The venue was decorated so beautifully and everyone looked so amazing in their dresses, it was an overall great time!”
