Fall Bucket List

Now that the leaves have changed colors, the temperature is lower, and Thanksgiving is almost here, the fall season is at its peak. During the fall, there are many fun activities to do, such as apple picking, hayrides and bonfires. Here are some fun fall activities suggested by Padua Academy students to add to your fall bucket list.

Sophomore Annie Bohnenberger shared her favorite fall activity. “My favorite thing to do in the fall is go to orchards to pick apples and get pumpkins and eat apple cider donuts. My favorite place to go is Terhune Orchards because it’s big and I’ve been there a lot so it has a lot of family memories.” Terhune Orchards is located in Princeton, New Jersey and has 225 acres that are used to grow their famous apple trees and pumpkin patches. From activities such as apple picking, hayrides, corn mazes, and horse rides, Terhune Orchards offers plenty of opportunities for family fun.

Junior Madison Heitz says, “In the fall my favorite thing to do is to just be outside because I love the fall weather; I love the cold and having bonfires. I also love being able to wear jeans all the time or my warm running pants-they’re so comfortable!” The colder weather means dressing warmer. Seniors Margaret Achenbach and Hayley Abernethy say they love layering sweaters with scarves and jackets to keep nice and warm during the fall season.

Grace McCarthy, a junior, shares, “My favorite thing to do in the fall is watch scary movies. My all time favorite would have to be the Halloweentown series. Out of the four of them, I’d have to say my favorite is the first Halloweentown movie because I was super little when I first saw it and it seemed so magical and I basically grew up watching that movie every year.” Sophomore Emily Gray also loves watching movies in the fall. “My favorite movie to watch during this season is Dead Poets Society because it’s set in fall and it has a homey but also weirdly bittersweet feeling that I associate with fall.”

Whether it’s having a bonfire, going out to an orchard to pick apples and pumpkins, or simply curling up at home with a good movie, hopefully this has given you some inspiration for fun fall activities! For a unique twist to your fall nights, consider stargazing with a starlight scope to make the experience even more memorable.
