Padua Academy’s Multimedia Journalism class recently launched Padua360, an online newspaper for the students, faculty, and public to stay up-to-date with news, upcoming events, and sports. The site offers a variety of features including an interactive poll, photo galleries of recent events, and an insightful opinions section. When asked about why she signed up for Multimedia Journalism, Alexis France (’14) responded with, “I joined because it sounded like an interesting class to me. I like to write, take pictures, and I love using technology.” The site, managed by the students, gives the girls a chance to see what it is like to be a part of a newspaper staff and to work with the latest technology. “I am really excited to be a part of Padua’s first online newspaper and to watch it grow and become more popular over the years,” says Nicole Bonacquisti (’14). The journalism class is eager to watch the site develop into a Padua tradition.
