Looking for a good movie???
Laying in bed, curled up with some popcorn on a rainy day looking for a movie…but wait! “What movie should I watch?” you ask? Well, many Padua students have some recommendations, as they discuss the last good movie they’ve seen.
For A Feel Good:
- Happy Gilmore. “I just watched Happy Gilmore for the 5th time last night. It’s an all time classic movie, and anyone could fall in love with it. I love to golf, so this movie really channels my inner golfer.” -Lyndsay Ryan ‘17
- Bring it On. “I used to watch this movie all the time, non stop! Yesterday, I saw it on TV, so of course I had to put it on. Bring it On is about two rivaling cheer teams. There’s drama, love, and lots of cheer! I’m a cheerleader myself, so I really find this movie amusing.” -Sydney Johnson ‘17
- Aladdin. “Last week I saw Aladdin for the first time. It is such a classic Disney movie. I loved it because I think I look like the main character Jasmin, and it really put a smile on my face. Hopefully next time I’ll be able to sing along!” -Alyssa DiBartolo ‘17
For An Indie:
- 500 Days of Summer. “Recently, I got bored so I looked up some good movies for a teen girl to watch. This movie was amazing. Filled with love and adventure, it really moved me and I loved every second of it.” -Danielle Savage ‘17
- Goon. “I watch this movie constantly. I watched it pretty recently just because why not. Goon is about a guy who doesn’t fit in, and ends up on a minor league hockey team. It is amazing. I’m obsessed with hockey, and of course this movie is all about hockey. But if you’re looking for a funny movie, and don’t mind the sports aspect, watch this!” -Maddi Perez ‘17
Never find yourself pondering movies on Netflix again! All these movies are Padua student approved; how bad could they be?! Give them a try next time you find yourself at home on a rainy day looking for a good movie.
