The Padua Painting

The Padua Painting

Like an abstract painting of beauty, Padua Academy is made up of amazing people who form an amazing piece of art. No Padua student is the same. Just by walking down the hallways, a visitor would notice everything that the girls had in common and all their differences. That is because we are all different and unique, so we will all have different likes and dislikes.

The students are given the opportunity to be themselves through electives, activities, clubs, and sports. A freshman might want to be an actress, so she may sign up for Shakespeare and try out for the play. A senior might have not made her decision on a college, so she might challenge herself in a sport for a scholarship and take a study hall in order to set time aside to figure out her future. Padua is not just a random mix of students put together for an education, but a sisterhood of girls from everywhere who enjoy everything.

Looking at the canvas that is Padua Academy, someone would not just see one color. The relaxed green of the freshmen who are just getting comfortable and floating along. Sophomores, who are blue, are daring to do anything that comes from being the “middle child” of high school. One would see the red juniors, who are something fearful and uncertain of the coming future with tests, college applications, and visits.  One would find the yellow of adventurous and excited seniors, who cannot wait to get to college. The purple faculty who are happy for the new students, but are about to be piled up with work, when it comes to all the work they put into these teens. All of these colors and more make up the Padua painting. Everyone has their own version of what this painting might look like, but they all know what this painting feels like in their hearts.
