Wiffle Ball Tournament
The Wiffle Ball tournament is run every year by the Ronald’s Rescue organization at Padua Academy. The Wiffle Ball tournament is held at Rockford Park in Wilmington, Delaware. In order to play in the tournament each team had to have five players and pay $50.
Once a team of five players is formed, a team name is needed. Victoria Steinhoff’s (‘18) team name was “A swing and a whiff.” Victoria also said that she had a lot of fun playing wiffle ball with her friends.
The team that won was made up of Mckenzie Scully (’16), Gabby Julian (’16), Emily Sylvester (’16), Domenica Terinoni (’16), and Julia Kisielewski (’16) and their team name was “Merica.” Victoria, whose team did not win, also stated, “The fact that the money is going to a good cause and that you are promoting a great program makes the loss a little easier.”
Emily Balestrieri is a Sophomore at Padua Academy that runs cross country and track. In her free time, she enjoys cooking and baking.
