This year’s basketball team is off to a good start, winning two out of three games. This year, there are 6 new players on varsity. They include Taylor Hazewski, Paige Lacek, Brittany Conner, Emily Theimann, Theresa Highberger, and Christy McDermott. They also joined returning players, Emma Matthews, Rachel Liszkiewicz, Hannah Schlegel, Kelly Rozenko, and seniors Taylor Jensen and Bridget Novielli. Paige Lacek is looking forward to getting to know her new teammates, and playing against some of the better teams on their schedule. During this season, the team will be playing teams like St. Marks, Ursuline, and Archmere. Emma Matthews predicts that this season will be a challenging one, but as long as the team works together she knows they will be successful.
