Maggie is a senior at Padua Academy. She took Journalism to continue to take advantage of Padua’s media classes, she has been involved in PATV and the media group for three years.

The reason she started taking journalism specifically was because of Emily, Padua 360’s editor-in-chief. Emily was always talking about this class, and Maggie finally decided to take it. Maggie had always loved journalism, as she had taken media classes at Padua in the past.

Because Maggie went to Holy Angels since fifth grade, it never crossed her mind not to go to a Catholic school. As her school had hosted many events for Padua, it gave her a chance to learn more about the high school.

“I love the all-girls aspect of Padua,” she said.

Outside of school, Maggie enjoys cooking. When she was little she always made recipes with whatever she found. She also loves to travel when she can. Her dream vacation would be to travel all around Europe. She wants to experience all different cultures and try their different foods.

Maggie also has been running cross country since freshman year. She started the sport, not by choice, but it allowed her to make new friends and keep them.

“It’s a love/hate relationship, but in the end it makes me feel accomplished,” she said.

As Maggie is approaching her last year at Padua, she has started her college search. She said is not sure where exactly she wants to go,  she knows that she wants to stay local.

Maggie grew up in Newark, Delaware until her recent move to Maryland.
