Preparing For Prom
With prom season quickly approaching, juniors and seniors are on the hunt for that perfect prom dress. Although, students are strongly reminded of the dress guidelines, when conducting this search. Most girls search local department stores and boutiques, such as Claire’s and Nordstrom’s. “Personally, I look online first to get a good idea of what I want”, says senior Kayla G. “It’s better to go in a store with an idea of color and style rather than nothing at all”.
When asked about the recent style trends of dresses Kayla says “I’ve seen a lot of girls getting dresses that look kind of like a maxi dress. The school hallways are mix of chatter between upperclassmen about the look and style of their dress. “I’m excited to see everyone’s dress,” says Kayla. “When someone buys a dress for an occasion like this the style and design usually matches with their personality”. The juniors’ prom night will be Saturday, May 13th, while the seniors’ prom will be Friday, May 5th.
