Padua Academy recently showed both their fall and school spirit by hosting itʼs first annual Fall Festival. The event, which was originally supposed to be held in the side parking lot, was held in the café due to an unexpected snowfall. The Fall Festival was open to the community, free of charge, so that students, faculty, friends, and families could all partake in the fun . The festival was made possible by the hard work of the Padua Student Council and numerous volunteers.
Student Council executive officers Jordan Bennet, Marykate McGurk, Christina Calvano, and Jess Peel developed the idea, organized the event, and helped pep up the school for the festival. They had an overwhelming response from students, parents, and teachers who volunteered to help set up, run, and take down the seventeen booths. Games included: Bobbing for apples, Candy Corn Guessing, Lollipop Tree, Target Practice, Beanbag, Wheel of Chance, Mask decorating, Raffle, Ring Toss, Bouncy Ball Bingo, Skee ball, Sand Art, Plinko, and Frog Fling.
The moon-bounce and face-painting were particularly popular with younger kids, inspiring many Padua girls to bring younger siblings and family members to the Festival; and Padua students loved the chance to give teacher volunteers a pie in the face! Padua’s first Fall Festival was a fun time for all involved and is sure to become a Padua tradition.
