The students at Padua Academy may be in high school but, they have not stopped enjoying the fantasies of Disney. Disney is seen in school everyday, through the backpacks and lunch boxes carried, on Halloween, and their is always one girl in the school that is traveling to Disney World soon or just came back. After 3 years, Disney World’s Magic Kingdom expanded on Thursday December 13th, with a New Fantasyland. This new addition to the park is the largest addition in 41 years. Now when the students travel to Disney World, more of their favorite movies are available to be experienced. The New Fantasy Land, “introduces two new areas— the Enchanted Forest, which focuses on Beauty and the Beast and the Little Mermaid, and Storybook Circus, an area inspired by Disney animated feature ‘Dumbo.”’
Jill Taylor thinks that the reason Disney chose to expand upon these stories is because the rides based on these stories are the most popular. The park is able to have the famous Disney stories be interactive, one of the new additions is, Beast’s Castle, which sit atop Be Our Generation restaurant. This restaurant is a replica of the tavern as well as a french restaurant. Erin Kennedy has full trust in Disney’s abilities, “I know that as soon as you step into the New Fantasyland, you will feel like you have stepped into the movie itself, as always. Disney has a way of making everywhere you turn magical”. Many of the students at Padua would be pleased when they step into the New Fantasyland and feel as though they are their favorite princess. Taylor Schoenbeck is pleased with the addition of Belle and Ariel, because they she believes her beloved princesses are unrecognized.
